  • OMB: Sites not to be believed

    My Beek!

I have no idea who these people are, but that is truly hilarious. And frightening.

    Lesbian Harry Potter!

Glad you were entertained by it, probably for the wrong reasons, but entertained anyway. We had fun amusing and offending the public, and the report seemed like a good way to continue it.

And no, the site isn't meant to be believed; the events in there are real, but the commentary is more than a little, well, embelished for satire. We did nearly get kicked out, we did hand out random stuff to people, and the pictures all happened at the premiere or in the donut shop, but much of this was out of the desire to cause chaos rather than obsession over the book.

Anyway, we all had fun, hope you did too...

Are you kidding? I would have *loved* to have been there.

      I love...chaos.

        I fandom wank!

The one this morning was too funie not to share:

        Angry My Little Pony collectors!
It seems a woman opened up her mint in box baby ponies (super!rare! from Italy) and all hell breaks loose! Ha!!! People compare it to painting over the Mona Lisa or altering other antique/ancient great works of art! The MLP collectors believe she had a cultural responsibility to NOT open that damn box!

All things being equal, Mona Lisa and MLP have a lot in common!

As someone who LOVES to open her toys, I can understand that poor Pony nut's need to *touch* them. Hee! I even opened my signed Jay & Silent Bob dolls.
Itís just really honestly so tiring and emotionally draining to have to get upset over reality constantly.

Wow. Just . . um, wow.

You know, you think you have seen all level of crazies, and then you stumble on the My Little Pony crazies . . .

I wish I could take a good long week off from work just to explore the depth and breadth of all kinds of random fandoms. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get laid off or struck with malaria someday . . .

Oh, do I love My Little Pony collectors. They seem to have a little extra crazy in them than your average fans. I lurk at Fandom Wank like it's my job and the amount of My Little Pony wank never stops surprising me.

Although I don't think anything will ever top my love of the LoTR fandom. The amount of craziness you can find there is not to be believed.

So, the Twilighters are in a frenzy with tween angst overtaking The Internets and the uber-creepy Twilight Moms who look like a stalker Bronwen Million Mom March to the Movies.

Also: Pattinson was in SF at the mall out in the Sunset. Video clip A girl fainted! A girl broke her nose! Why wasn't I there with popcorn and a recliner?!

Twilight Moms are the creepiest! They are as obsessed as the teens only they allow no room for dissent! You are Team Edward and you enjoyed the fourth book or you are a HATER who should go to TwilightSucks and leave them alone!

                  Crazies!

I can't believe I'm not more involved in that fandom.

Reviving this thread for my new favorite tumblr: http://thisisnotrob.tumblr.com/

It's a collection of crazies from around the internet who claim to have met Rob Pattinson. My favorite one is this one (from a lady who wrote an e-book you can buy about her relationship with 'Rob' at his mountain hideaway): http://thisisnotrob.tumblr.com/post/...-famous-notrob

Things Mr. Robert Pattinson wore in the movie: Fake sideburns, contact lenses, makeup and lipstick, bushy eyebrows and a postische in his damage nose. Yes, I personally seen Mr. Robert Pattinson without his fake piece in his nose. He even looks handsome without it.
At the time of Twilight premier, Mr. Robert Pattinson also had a third residence up in a mountain. It was his get away place that he keep for 3 months during the time of Twilight early months of crazed Oct-Dec 2008, where he would travel with Kristen and the rest of the gang on tours, then appear the next day at the mountain to take a rest for a few days without anyone at his side. His ecleptic ideas also keeps him right on top of his fame. Like driving a very old 1970 Thunderbird. I think its one of his favorite cars. He seems to like vintage.

It must’ve been exhausting for him.
Mr. Robert Pattinson and I had numerous conversations, He took liberty in knocking at my door more than a few times. Never knew how famous he was until 6 months after when I saw him on the internet and pictures from Cannes in May 2009.

Advice in case you meet a famous actor. Just act normal and treat them like one of the family or friend. They will appreciate you better and most likely remember you afterwards.

Other things I know about the movie: Stephanie Meyer was in the movie and she wrote the book for younger people like 5th graders, which makes it understandable when people talk about not too well written.
You also have to listen to 'Rob Pattinson' singing on that link. Hilars.

How do these people even navigate a device to get on the internet?

I appreciate her advice on what to do if I ever meet a famous person!

Interesting that she did not include "Make sure to write an e-book about the whole experience and then sell it on the interwebz."
