  • Fandoms That Won't Die: It keeps going and going...

Like the Energizer Bunny, some fandoms just keep going and going even WAY after the show is canceled. I guess some fandoms never die.

For example, Young Americans at Fan Forum

Dude what is there to talk about 3-years after cancellation?

Well, there's the Jahammer Thread - Three years on, and its still as minty as ever where they talk about RANDOM Verve-Terri related shit such as this one gal who declared:

I had a Jahammer dream. It was weird, because it was Ian/Jake instead of Hamilton/Jake. But I loved it, I told them that they should get together, even though it was an actor and a character.

    I how kerrazy people are!

In light of recent events, I found this verray amusing.

That's so stupid. Where's the rest of it? I wish people wouldn't ask a bunch of unoriginal questions and act like it's an article (although "article" seems to be very loosely defined over at good ol' MB). And HA at Mr. Manager for saying it's "well written" and "food for thought." Maybe if you're an idiot...

Anybody who finds posting on message boards "stressful" is a dumbass. Seriously, if you can't handle written disagreements between people you most likely will never meet then how do you get through the fucking day in an office or retail environment?
Itís just really honestly so tiring and emotionally draining to have to get upset over reality constantly.

I think some number of the people who are finding this too stressful are clearly not making it through the day in their office/store/school - you see sometimes fans complaining about having gotten fired or failing classes or such. If this is your whole social life (and I'm sure we've all posted with people for whom this is the case), then any confrontation here will be blown out of proportion because it's all you have. Hopefully the people who find this too stressful will take a step back and adjust their priorities to include their real lives. But yes, dumbasses, absolutely agree.

And that war analogy? Over the top and clearly the work of somebody taking this too seriously.

I that Mr. Manager replied about how well-written and thought-provoking the article is. Bwah.

Mr. Manager is, of course, Brendan Fehr's manager.

The most amusing part was the thumbs up smiley.

I want to know what the kudos owns. Kudos's handbag? I don't think so.

I love the fact that when the kids that are now at school all grow up they're all going to turn into therapists who will specialise in PTSD - Post Traumatic Shipper Disorder - and weaning these namby pamby assholes off their internet fixation.

Jeebus, I weep for the world sometimes. Mostly I don't since I'm too busy, but sometimes.

Dude. Duuuude. That SO could have been my niche. **sigh**

Sometimes out of sheer boredom and the complete lack of desire to do stuff I should be doing, I visit old DC sites. The auction is still going on though most of it is clothes. For Fox's benefit, I'll mention that Audrey's pink boa is only at $21 and I'm ashamed to admit that I'm tempted to bid on the check to Doug from Dean (?) and Kitty Witter (hee) as "Deposit for Pacey".

It's weird to me how COMPLETELY over it I am. I mean, I seriously never go to mediablvd or fanforum unless someone directs me to a specific thread or something.

I haven't even been skimming the crazies live journals! It's weird. I'm just done. I have nothing more to give, people! Hee!

It's weird for me too. Especially seeing the episodes are showing for the first time right now and I still can't get into it. I've reverted back to what I did while seasons 1 and 2 were airing - I have it on but rarely sit in front of it. I might run over and do a rewind if I hear Pacey speaking. Surely my interest will perk up come Clean And Sober.

Tonight I actually went to a couple of DC type websites for the first time since the show ended in the States. I needed episode titles for the tapes. I've never ever been to mediablvd and I thought fanforum had closed down!

Maybe Mr. Manager should be out there doing his job (getting Brendan Fehr a JOB), rather than messing around with media blvd. Of course, if I had to guess, I would love to say Mr Manager shares an IP with Lisa or some other insane crackpot from there.
                          Suck it.

Hoi! Call her Victrola. We know you're dead tight and know her name is Jess, but we don't. We also don't give a rat's ass, but since she didn't register as Jess, we're assuming that she doesn't perhaps want the world to know that that's what she goes by in real life.

There is a CAGE here people. Respect it.
