  • Ok, Ginny and Georgia S2 was better than S1. It's like Gilmore Girls + federal crime and the mom and daughter continue to have great chemistry and banter. They're more angsty and adversarial than Lorelai and Rory, but also the daughter isn't THE WORST like Rory was. She's just a regular teenage asshole who actually gets called on her brattiness (and has a way better reason for being a brat).

I don't know if this counts, but I am technically streaming it so I guess it does? I opted to watch one in depth YT video about the Univ of Idaho student murders and once you do that, it's over for you because YT will then show you ALLLLL the videos about those kids and their accused murderer. So now, all my YT recs are baseball/football highlights, Aussie girls squeal clapping about Taylor Swift, or college students dying in horrific and brutal ways.

    • V, your avatar is in the new series The Last of Us. I really enjoyed the pilot "movie"! I have no idea if she survives more than an episode or two.
I’m not too keen on post apocalyptic dramas generally but The Last of Us is really good. Anna Torv is great as a tough, battle-scarred Olivia Dunham but I started watching it because I saw a review of episode 3 and it didn’t disappoint. An unexpected diversion away from the main leads to a beautiful love story told from start to finish in one really moving episode of television. I cried.

I’m sad that Lockwood and Co (Netflix) is unlikely to get renewed as I really enjoyed it. A YA ghost hunting trio (also kind of post apocalyptic- what is happening?!).The young cast is great, chemistry good, there’s a slow burn love story and the three leads create their own little ‘family’. Would love to see more. Ah well.

      • NO, I just started Lockwood and I love it! I thought it was at number 1 for a good while too. Ugh.

        • I just finished Fleishman is in Trouble and really enjoyed it. I never read the book so wasn't really sure what to expect but kept seeing people recommend it on IG and Twitter. It's really well done and all of the performances are great even though all of the characters are self-obsessed assholes who I struggled to root for. Claire Danes kind of seems like she's playing herself, but like maybe a little more brittle and she busts out the OG Carrie Mathison crying face from Homeland. Anyway, it's rich white people with RWP existential probs if you're in the mood for that.
