'Fess up: Who's watching Average Joe with me?

Dude, I have not been watching any of the reality shows but I have been tempted to watch THE JOE SCHMO SHOW. I kept seeing the ads for it when I'd watch Most Extreme Elimination Challenge on Spike TV. Heh.
It's all about me and my precious.

Ok, I admit it! **covers eyes** I've been watching Average Joe. The thing that gets me about it is that these guys are so NOT average. They are below average in almost every way. And the guys who are even somewhat attractive are such jackasses that you can't like them either.

Any bets on the twist? I'm guessing they're going to put in some hot guys to see if she will pick one of them or one of the "average joes".

And is anybody (Neo?) watching Rich Girls on MTV? The non-Hilfiger girl scares me muchly.

Ew, no. I draw the line at Rich Girls. I think it would make me too angry.

Average Joe: I hatehatehate Zach so much! Hey, Baldy, you're not such a great catch, so SHUT IT. I do love that Dennis (36 year old virgin? Wha? I totally think that's why she cut him.) rubbed his toothbrush in the toilet. EAT IT, fucknugget!

I do like the geeky guy with the glasses and the goatee. Hee.

Oh, Neo, on the contrary. Rich Girls is excellent MTV trash! My favorite part is that the girls actually are he producers on the show so they will have no excuse to later say they were edited badly.

And ITA that cheerleader chick dumped Dennis because he was a virgin. That would be a little too creepy for my taste. Although I also really like him, I thought she might have been turned off by dorky Directors Assistant guy when he said their "date" was the best one he'd ever had in his life.

<--- is a reality TV whore

I'm watching Average Joe! I felt so bad for the girl when they brought out all those hideous guys. I agree they're below-average in pretty much every way. The only one I even sort of like is the guy who's working on his PhD, although I think he'd get boring quickly. He's a little too analytical.

I don't watch a lot of reality TV -- I usually just end up watching the final episode of everything (The Joe Schmo Show, The Bachelor, Joe Millionaire). It still manages to suck me in, though.

Am I the only person who enjoyed Cupid? Roxy and I want to go on that show as the bitchy friends.

The Rich Girls are SO FUGLY, especially Non-Hilfiger. I can't take it! If I were as filthy freakin' rich as they are, I'd buy a new damn face.

Edited to say: Man, for REAL.

Cranberry- In enjoyed Cupid as well. Just because it was so incredibly lame (which is saying a lot considering the general reality genre lameness). I particularly got a kick out of how Lisa Shannon was so NOT a prize even though they portrayed her like the be all end all.

                  Cupid was fun.

I really enjoyed For Love or Money (Part 1 & 2). Now that was some quality trash reality. NBC does it best, yo.

Anyone watching the new Joe Millionaire? I flipped through it the other day and the girls were SCARY!

I'm am soooo loving Rich Girls. Especially when they try to demonstrate how in touch they are with how everyone else lives. The best line last night was when the fugly non-Hillfiger was saying how "people in the midwest don't buy cargo pants because they're fashionable. They wear them because they need all the pockets for working out in the fields."

                    • #11
Oh, I'm sorry I haven't seen that show! I'm just so busy working in the field.

                      Rich people are stupid. Hee.

OMB. *runs to movie area to talk about Born Rich*
It’s just really honestly so tiring and emotionally draining to have to get upset over reality constantly.

I caught up on Rich Girls over the weekend and I love it! Ally Hilfiger CMSU with her earnest need to relate to poor/middle-class people and her complete inability to do so. But I must thank her papa for inventing cargo pants! Man, those extra zippers are just what I've been waiting for ALL these years. The make my field work so much easier.

But as earnest as Ally is, I love/hate Jaime more for just pretending to care about less privileged people when she clearly could give a fuck. And for real, the girl has serious image/self-esteem issues. I maybe could feel bad for her, but she lost me when she spoke so authoritatively about how Benjamin Franklin invented the light bulb and how that was related to her overprivileged lifestyle.

Did anyone else watch Bachelor Bob's finale?

He gave her a promise ring. A nice one, but still, BWAH.

I'm so bitter. Even though I am apparently immune to the Power Of Bob, I still felt bad for my girl, Kelly Jo. Estella was just freaky. But, of course, he's freaky too so perhaps they deserve each other.

Poor Kelly Jo. Hope she's the next Bachelorette.

                              Poor. Kelly. Jo?

                              I do not understand.
