  • True list of stuff put down as reasons for admittance to an insane asylum in the late 1800s: http://imgur.com/r1hCju4

I have at least 20 of these conditions, including 'Novel Reading', 'Asthma' and 'Imaginary Female Troubles'. Possibly also 'Domestic Affliction' if that means I hate housework, and 'Bad Company' (you rascally lot here).

ETA: Without question I have Uterine Derangement.
Itís just really honestly so tiring and emotionally draining to have to get upset over reality constantly.

22 Signs You’re Stuck Between Gen X And Millennials

        • Those Time covers are so amazing!

The Genx one is all dark and brooding and they are "overshadowed" by the Boomers. The Millennial cover is all sparkly and cute and notes that though awful Millennials are saviors. Amazing.

          <---GenX all day.

          • I'm on the tippytail (born in '75). Definitely stuck twixt and twain, but more X than not.

            • I'm a millennial, I guess? I was always confused about the timeframe, and I'm familiar with a lot of syndicated stuff because latchkey childhood, etc., etc. Me me me me meeeeee.

              • o, we're straddling opposite ends (dirty!) because I was born in '82. I do identify as a Millennial for the most part but like the much older, wiser big sister (ha) to all the bratty kids.

                • You are all babies. I'm well within the X zone. Hey, random question since we're on the topic of age. When was Madnono conceived? I see some of the posts go way back to the early 2000s.

                  • I'm super duper old.

We launched in the fall of 2003. But most posters moved from a previously existing board. And another one before that. And even one before that, if you count me and Laa as posters on DawsonsWrap.com in the late 1990s (holy shit).

                    • The earliest of us (isadora, Ginni . . . . diesel, maybe?) were posting on Dawson's Wrap waaaaaay back in '98 or '99 . . . then Dawson's Wrap became MightyBigTV in '99, I guess? Wow, I'm bad at dates. I think I started posting on MBTV in '99 or '00. Then MBTV became TWOP, and then TWOP became super lame and we all flounced it when they banned Ginni and Fox, and then diesel and isadora created Paceyporn.com, and then Dawson's Creek ended and diesel and isadora shut down paceyporn and built madnono and we all came here. That was in '03.

I guess 2003 was the answer you were looking for!

ETA Duh, isadora answered much better.

                      • I second that holy shit! you guys. Y'all have shaped me into the high-functioning stealth obsessive you see today. Oh, and I still get rage blackouts when I think about The Banning.

                        • Oh, Laa.

You are our greatest collective achievement. Proof that it takes a snarky village to raise a snarky child. *sniff*

                          • The real holy shit for me was when I realized Laa was literally a child and was 10 times funnier and smarter than my adult co-workers.

                            • This weekend has been a bounty of nerdom for me! Veronica Mars, Hunger Games, The Killing, etc. I've been in a suspended state of fangirl flail for like 36 hours. I'm exhausted.

I was also telling Mr. Is that if something awful had befallen San Diego this weekend--be it natural or man made or some awful combo of both?--everything in the world I care about beyond my friends and family would have been wiped out! LOL.

isadora, that is so true. I'm pretty sure I have some actual family I care about less than the people at SDCC.
