  • YES. It's like I was in Plato's cave and then I walked out into the sun! It's crazy.

This is a lesson: Don't deny yourself the finer things! I mean, I LOVE TV. Why did I ever think it wouldn't be worth every penny to upgrade the thing that delivers me my most beloved thing?
Itís just really honestly so tiring and emotionally draining to have to get upset over reality constantly.

    • Prabal Gurung for Target is making me quiver with want! There are at least 10 things I want and hardly any of them are work appropriate and apart from work, I don't even wear stuff that isn't running shorts. No curr. Still buying it all.

      • I hate 90% of that LookBook, Issie! You can have it alllllllllllllll. I like most of the cut lines but don't like the fabrics or color combinations.

Please be aware I say this sitting in men's flannel PJs layered over a Banana Republic safari tee from 1990.

        • I, too, need it allllllllll. But Target collabs always disappoint the crap out of me whenever I see the clothes in-store, so we shall see.

          • So there's something really offensive to me about the designers pairing with Target because it is seriously shitty just like the other clothes quality and they don't come all the way down to the Target price point. In a way it's like driving the shittiest BMW so you can say you have one? Or something? I don't know - I really truly believe good style / individualism has nothing to do with how much you spend. Except I no likee cheap shoes anymore.

              • We don't have a music thread, right?

Just want to point out that Amazon is having a $1.99 MP3 album sale right now on 20 different albums: https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...cId=1000728411

Teagan and Sara's latest album is one there, and so is Band of Horses (and John Denver!).

                • Someone RT'ed this site into my TL this morning: http://exboyfriendjewelry.com

tagline: You don't want it and he can't have it back.

Anyway, wondering who the actor is who swiped this necklace from the set of Almost Famous, and then cheated on his gf . . .

The stories that go along with these items are great:
                  Dear Ex-BF,

I gave you my heart, I did everything you asked, we had long talks about marriage and kids. I tried to show you I was the one you MAMMA wouldn't RETURN....You on the other hand gave me lovely jewelry, showered me with exotic trips, fancy restaurants all the while you saw no use for me as you broke my heart. Therefore I saw no use for the jewelry anymore. So I took it upon myself to sell it. I hope it brings me a nice chunk of change so I can shower myself with an exotic WITHOUT YOU!

                  Thanks Bunches!!!

                  So,here's my story.
I have a knack for picking the kind of man who gives me a sob story over how his parents never loved him and his friends never liked him. I always for it until I find out that was all a lie,or that he was such a terrible human being it was no wonder no one did like him.
This guy made me feel as though he was a saint who just wasn't given a chance. So I gave him one. One child and 5 years later,I find that he's not only a cheater, but he's abusive, and a thief. Not someone I wanted around any more. Shortly after our break-up,my step father disappeared as well. Good riddance guys.
                  WHAT.

My ex-boyfriend, whom I'm now positive has Aspergers Syndrome, went to the effort of throwing me a 30th birthday party and gave me this beautiful birthstone and diamond necklace. Later in the night he then got excessively drunk and yelled at me in front of my best friend, for reasons we still can't figure out, and told me I could move out when we got home. I spent the night of my birthday sleeping on the couch.
                  Beekdamn you, Aspergers!

                  • There is nothing on this page of Lalique jewelry that I wouldn't trade my house to own.

Sorry, kids, but we're living in a cardboard box so Mama can have a mermaid diadem and an escargot pocketwatch.

                    • So much of that is gorgeous. I like Lalique's jewelry so much more than their vases and objects. I have a lot of plique-ŗ-jour buttons in my mother's collection and it's impossible not to stare at them.

                      • So last Saturday, my sister and I hit up Banana Republic while on vacation just because we felt like doing some shopping without the kids and lo and behold, we walked in to a store that was 40% off of everything, including sale items. Obvs we tore it apart because it felt like serendipity. Then today, I had lunch with a girlfriend after work and she was like, "Hey, you wanna stop by Banana real quick?" So I was just gonna go with her because I still wanted to hang out, but then they had new markdowns (like for real, the whole store was either marked down or on some kind of 40% off promo) and on top of that they had buy 2 sale items and get a 3rd free. Um. It's like I entered a shopping black out state because I got home and was like, "WTF? Why so many bags?"

                        • Gasp! Pleeeease let that sale be in my area and extend to tomorrow. I am hurting for work-approps spring clothing.

                          • Duuuuuude! GO! They have a ton of work tops marked down AND if you're into printed pants, all of them are on sale right now. I got these cute pants and while I don't have a yellow belt, I do have yellow flats! My fave find was this BAMF coat for $119 and it's way more on the web site. The inside of the collar is pink and looks awesome when you pop it up. I'm basically praying for a Houston specific polar freeze just so I can wear it every day. Everything that I got in the store is cheaper than what's showing online actually, so I'd definitely hit up a BR today if I were you.

                            • Totally not humble brag about my shopping victory yesterday: got a pair of Paige jeans at Nordstrom Rack for $7.50. Not $75, which would have been a steal already but SEVEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS.
