  • I grew up watching Andy Hardy movies on local TV stations every Sunday morning. Definitely sad to see one of the last Golden Era movie stars die.

    • Peaches Geldof has died. I don't know how famous she is in the US but she was constantly in the tabloids here. Her poor father. (There were a few blind items recently that I thought were either about her or Lily Allen edit: Actually I still think they were more likely to be about LA. )

      • That's really sad news and a horrible echo of Paula Yates. She was mostly famous for being famous aside from her dad and was a total mess a few years ago. I hadn't picked up on the blinds and had thought she had got her life together but she seems to have gone the way of Amy Winehouse. So sad for her two children.

        • She was quite scandalous, yes? That's very sad. I remember when her mother died. And Michael Hutchence! *lights candle*

          • Peaches was not super famous here, but she popped up now and then in relation to other famous peeps. She was only 25!

            Her dad's statement is heartbreaking.

Peaches has died. We are beyond pain.

She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.

Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?

We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.

Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken.

Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.
Her boys were just babies, the eldest not even two years old.

They are calling the death 'suspicious', which is weird. I just assumed it was drugs. Didn't everyone assume it was drugs?

            • Drugs, man. What a sad family legacy. Poor Tiger Lily.

Michael Hutchence! This veray annoying girl tried to trick me into going to an inxs concert the summer before he died and I didn't go.

              • I had never heard of Peaches before, but it's always sad when a young person dies.

I don't get it though, why is Michael Hutchence relevant to her death?

Peaches is the middle daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates. Paula left Geldof for Hutchence and had a daughter (Tiger Lily) with him. Bob adopted Tiger Lily after the death of Paula Yates. Peaches was only 11 when her mum died and has given many interviews over the years of how she never really came to terms with her death.

The police say the death wasn't suspicious, but is "unexplained".

                  • So sad! I saw Michael Hutchence the summer year before he died with INXS. He was such a great frontman!

He died, Paula died and now poor little Peaches! Light a candle for Tiger Lily y'all.

                    • Ugh, so horrible. I only knew Peaches as a contributor to Nylon, which some peeps hated on, but I always liked her pieces.
