  • WTF! There's only one Ramone left? I can't even believe it!

Howevah, sounds like Johnny had quite the going away party:
Along with his wife, Linda Cummings, Johnny Ramone was surrounded at his death by friends Eddie and Jill Vedder, and Rob and Sherrie Zombie. Other friends who gathered at his Los Angeles home included Lisa Marie Presley, Pete Yorn, Vincent Gallo and Talia Shire.

HOW great does that sound? Hee!
Its just really honestly so tiring and emotionally draining to have to get upset over reality constantly.

    • Janet Leigh died. Presumably not in the shower.

      • I remember seeing Janet Leigh on the Daily Show years ago and they asked her if she took showers or baths. She said, "What, are you kidding?" and looked at Kilbourne like he was an idiot.

In other news, Rodney Dangerfield bit it.

              • Some obit item showed a clip from Ladybugs but didn't mention the movie where he models shiny blue suits.

                • Christopher Reeve died. I'm in this weird sort of shock that seems so odd. It's not like I was a huge fan or anything, but it just seems really unreal.

                  • Wow.

And Ken Caminiti died too. He had his issues, but he was an awesome player for a while there.

                    • I am sort of surprised about Christopher Reeve. It's sad! I thought he'd make it a few more years, given the quality of his medical attention, his high profile, etc.

Honestly, I think it's more sad that he had to live like that for ten years but he did do a lot for his cause -- not that it helps what with all the faith-based nutballs who refuse to accept modern science! Grrrr.

                      • Vanessa, when I saw your post, I immediately thought he'd killed himself. I'm still a bit suspicious about the reported heart attack, but I guess I'll believe it until we find out he died of a cocaine overdose in a couple of weeks. We used to love Cammie when he played for the Astros and he was still really good friends with Bagwell and Biggio years after he left Houston and in gossipy news, I think the two of them even tried to stage some sort of intervention a few years ago to try to get Cammie to kick his habit.

Selfishly, I hope that Bags and Bigg can still play well against the Braves tonight.

                              • I am! Surprised, not particularly upset.

I always thought he'd either live a long time being that crazy old man in the neighborhood, or that he'd go out in a blaze of gunfire. You know, while on the lam from the cops or something.
